Elahe Mohammadi and Niloufar Hamedi's letter to the head of the judiciary: We regret our past behavior
The case of Elahe Mohammadi and Niloufar Hamedi, two security convicts, recently became one of the topics discussed in the media.
With the announcement of the execution of Elahe Mohammadi and Niloufar Hamedi’s sentences, attempts were made by the convicts and their lawyers to postpone the execution or pardon the convicts.
In one of the actions taken, Ms. Mohammadi and Ms. Hamedi expressed regret for their past behavior in a letter they wrote to the head of the judiciary, pledging not to commit any illegal behavior, such as after their temporary release from prison (in recent months), and expressed regret for their actions in previous years that led to their convictions.
The letter of regret and remorse from Ms. Elaheh Mohammadi and Ms. Niloufar Hamedi has been received for further review and judicial decision-making and is under review.
