The order of the Head of the Judiciary to grant 5-day leave to eligible Christian convicts
According to the Judiciary Media Center, Hojatoleslam Wal Muslimin Mohseni Ejei, the Head of the Judiciary, issued a circular to judicial units and prosecutors across the country on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and the New Year 2025, and in implementation of Article 197 of the Executive Regulations of the Prisons Organization and Security and Educational Measures.

In this circular, the Chief of the Judiciary has ordered all judicial units and prosecutors across the country to grant five days of leave to Christian convicts who are legally eligible for leave and who are in prison or on leave, except for those convicted of retribution, execution, espionage, and acts against national security, on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and the New Year 2025, and in view of the positive and constructive effects of the presence of prisoners with their families.
This circular states that prosecutors across the country are required to implement the circular and monitor its proper implementation.
