Curfew extended as fighting continues in Syria

According to Al Jazeera, Syrian sources announced that due to the military and security situation, the curfew in Tartus was extended until 12:00 noon local time.
Some sources reported that this morning, fierce clashes occurred between the forces of the Syrian interim government and opposition groups in the outskirts of Latakia.
It is said that hundreds of al-Julani forces were injured in these clashes and were transferred to the Abu Bakr Mosque in the Hableh area.
This morning, Syrian media reported that in the city of Latakia, after withdrawing from some areas, the forces of the Syrian interim government attacked civilians.
After fleeing from some areas of the city of Jabla, the al-Julani forces left their wounded in the city hospital and fled to other areas.
According to media reports, heavy clashes are currently underway in the areas around the city of Jabla, especially the highway leading to it.
The people of western Syria, including the cities of Latakia and Tartus, rose up on Thursday night and demonstrated against the policies of the new Syrian government headed by "Ahmad al-Sharaa", nicknamed al-Julani.
According to Syrian news sources, hundreds of people in Latakia and Tartus, Syria, demonstrated against the rulers of Damascus and the attacks by its affiliated elements in western Syria.
Meanwhile, the French newspaper Le Figaro reported, citing the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, that heavy clashes in northwestern Syria between security forces and fighters loyal to Bashar al-Assad have left 70 dead and dozens wounded.
The source added that the fighting in the city of Jabla and villages near the Mediterranean coast is "the most violent attacks against the new authorities since the fall of Assad."
Continuing the policy of suppressing the Alawites, elements affiliated with al-Jolani launched severe attacks on Latakia province, which were met with strong popular resistance, and according to local sources, one of the rebel elements was also killed.
Earlier, the Syrian Alawite Islamic Council called on the people of the country to demonstrate and resist the oppression of the al-Jolani government.
On Thursday afternoon, the people of southern Syria also held a similar demonstration against the policies of the interim government headed by al-Jolani, demanding his removal from power.
