Conflicting claims regarding Bashar al-Assad's fate

Additionally, according to the American newspaper, Bashar al-Assad notified the government early on Sunday morning that he was leaving the country.
However, the Russian Foreign Ministry declared that Assad's negotiations with several parties to the armed conflict led him to decide to resign from his position and leave the nation.
Reuters also claimed, citing two informed sources in Syria: There is a high probability that Assad may have been killed in a plane crash, because according to data from the Flight Radar website, it is a mystery why the plane made a sudden turn and disappeared.
