Israel destroying the healthcare system in north Gaza

The complete collapse of the healthcare system in northern Gaza as a result of these attacks has put civilians at “the risk of being deprived of life-saving health care,” it added.

The statement reiterated its urgent call to protect medical facilities in accordance with international humanitarian law, stressing that this is “a legal and moral duty aimed at protecting human life.”

It also noted that “the influx of patients seeking shelter, in addition to the displaced, has created a situation that medical teams cannot handle.”

Since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on 7 October 2023, the Israeli occupation army has targeted the healthcare sector in the Strip, bombing and besieging hospitals and preventing the entry of medical supplies, especially to northern Gaza, which it invaded again on 5 October.
