Hamas denies Israeli claims about Haniyeh assassination
In a statement, Hamas declared that it categorically refutes all of the Zionist regime's falsehoods that were made public, particularly those pertaining to the specifics of the martyr Ismail Haniyeh's assassination plot.
The Zionist regime claimed that the assassination was carried out with a bomb planted in his room at the official headquarters of the Iranian guesthouse in Tehran, during Haniyeh’s official visit to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Hamas emphasized that joint investigations between the movement’s security agencies and Iranian security agencies have shown that the assassination operation was carried out with a guided missile weighing 7.5 kilograms of explosives.
According to the Hamas statement, the missile directly targeted Haniyeh’s mobile phone.
Hamas clarified that the claims made by the Zionist regime are only a desperate attempt to divert public opinion from this multi-layered crime that was committed by clearly violating Iranian sovereignty and targeting one of the country's official headquarters.
