Nasser Qandil in an interview with Mizan:
We will never give up on the Shebaa Farms
The Lebanese journalist and politician emphasized: Lebanon will never back down from its right regarding the Shebaa Farms, and some Lebanese politicians have adopted an incorrect approach in this regard.
Nasser Qandil stated in an interview with Mizan: "Both Syria and Lebanon will undoubtedly suffer from the issues brought up during Lebanese politician Walid Jumblatt's visit regarding the Shebaa Farms. We are concerned about the Shebaa Farms' place within our territorial identity. The purpose of this issue has become clearer after rereading UN Security Council Resolution 1701. "
He emphasized: " Numerous discussions about the Shebaa Farms took place between 2000 and 2006. There are no questions about the Shebaa Farms' legal status as part of Lebanon. It is forbidden to exchange or give away Lebanese soil. Politicians from all sides of Lebanon should undoubtedly be aware of this indisputable principle. "
