The World Health Organization announced that the siege imposed by the Israeli army on northern Gaza, which has lasted for more than 80 days, has put the lives of 75,000 Palestinians at risk.

The organization added that it was surprised by the Zionist attack on Kamal Adwan Hospital and its deactivation, which was the last major health center in northern Gaza.

In this regard, Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), who has repeatedly emphasized the need to stop the brutal war of the Israeli regime against the Gaza Strip in recent days, referred to the inhumane situation of children in Gaza in his new remarks.

Philippe Lazzarini said in this regard: As a result of the Israeli war against Gaza, which has been ongoing for more than a year, one child in the Gaza Strip loses his life every hour.

He added: Since October 7, 2023, 14,500 Palestinian children have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip. These are not numbers, but lives that ended prematurely.

The UNRWA Commissioner-General stressed: There is no justification for killing children or causing physical and psychological harm to children who managed to survive in Gaza.

Lazzarini continued: Girls and boys in Gaza are moving among the rubble and are deprived of education. Time is running out and the children of Gaza are losing their lives, their futures and their hopes.
