Eslami: The Agency's access and inspection in Iran are unhindered
Mohammad Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization, informed reporters on Saturday, December 14, that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant has already contributed 70 billion kWh of electricity to the grid.
The head of the Atomic Energy Organization noted that the amount of electricity generated by this power plant has saved 105 million barrels of oil.
He added that other benefits of nuclear power plant electricity include the absence of pollution, stability of the electricity, fixed frequency in the network, and network security.
"When the capacity of nuclear activities increases, it is natural that the number of inspections is greater," Eslami added in reference to the Agency's nuclear facility inspection program.
Additionally, he observed that the West had created an atmosphere around the nuclear issue, saying, "They must be tired of making a fuss about Iran's nuclear program by now."
In a different section, the Atomic Energy Organization's chief stressed that we follow the Agency's rules and guidelines, saying: "The Zionist movement has been propagandizing against Iran's nuclear programs for years and has not gotten anywhere."
Regarding the Agency's inspections, Eslami also said: "We have not created any obstacles to the Agency's inspection and access and we will not create any; we operate within the framework of safeguards; the Agency also operates according to the regulations, not a word less, not a word more; we have repeatedly emphasized that the relationship between Iran and the Agency is within the framework of safeguards and the NPT."
He added: "There are two remaining places where we will interact to close these cases."
